About the Position:

As Operations Manager, you will be the key person in launching and growing our US business.

With guidelines assistance from the HQ, your  first assignment will be to identify and select  a local warehouse(s) that OGOship will start their US expansion with. After this, you will execute tests and go into the setup phase, ensure prices and offerings of warehouse(s) are competitive and match the OGOship offering/demand, monitor and maintain agreed SLA’s, conduct market research and stay current into the industry for OGOship to represent trends and stay ahead of the curve.

With an analytical and customer-focused mindset, you will develop, review, and perfect our operations playbook, from hiring to scaling, from goal setting to execution, from improvement to innovation.  

This is a highly visible role where you will have a direct impact on the growth and success of OGOship’s launch in the US.

Within 1 month, You’ll:

  • Present and get approval for 3 partnership warehouses that best suit our vision
  • Receive in depth onboarding by visiting and learning from the OGOship operations and business in Europe
  • Understand the roadmap ahead for the coming 12 months

Within 3 months, You’ll:

  • Integrate the selected warehouse to the OGOship network
  • Create a clear and achievable plan for the first test shipment
  • Have a schedule of the first customers coming in
  • Set and ensure KPIs and SLAs are met and adhered to

Within 12 months :

  • The warehouse will be fully operational with clear scalable processes in place and volumes increasing rapidly
  • Have identified the main pain points in terms of delivery speed and have a roadmap in front of you on where to open the next US warehouse
  • Proactively receiving and implementing customer requests of potential special services (same day deliveries, for example)

You Should Apply if:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in 3PL operations and management (logistics, warehousing, e-commerce)
  • You have a quantifiable history of meeting and exceeding operations management KPIs
  • You have excellent understanding of B2C ecommerce
  • You are capable of spearheading the buildup phase and represent OGOship to the new market stakeholders
  • You have experience using WMS/OMS softwares, Slack, G Suite
  • You have outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence strategy
  • You can deal with ambiguity
  • You are a self-starter, accountable and able to work independently
  • You are comfortable interfacing with clients, providers and other stakeholders at all professional levels.
  • You are eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
