In Sweden, 68% of consumers bought goods online in 2018.

Since that, e-commerce has shown double-digit growth in 2019. The online retail industry increased by 13% and was worth 87 billion Swedish kronor (that's a staggering 8.24 billion euros) at the end of 2019.

Payment cards are the most popular payment method among Swedish e-commerce customers. More than half of Swedish consumers, 54%, prefer to use their cards when they pay online. Another popular payment method in Sweden is the invoice, which is used by 28%.

Shipping preferences

The Swedes appreciate the ability to choose how the item will be delivered and pick the delivery date for home delivery. Free shipping may be a factor when the Swedish consumer decides whether to shop or to stop. The shipment should be fast as the customers expect to get the products within three business days or sooner.

Via Facebook advertising, you can reach 6 million Swedes. Instagram advertising audience size is 4.8 million, Snapchat 3.9 million, Twitter 1.85 million, and LinkedIn 3.8 million people.
